Hello John,

I always used PS option for CJK TrueType as "Outline SoftFont. (non
as Type 42 or bitmap). I have good results for Acrobat 3.02 Non-Japanese (!).
But you need to test a lot of PS drivers for correct result of
distilling for Japanese PS.
For example, I had  a good result _in_some_situations_ for Lexmark own PS
drivers or standard MS PS driver, and only empty blank pages (as you)
- for Adobe J PS + HP LJ PS drivers.

Yes, as wrote Dina Davidson, the problem of J-font for Japanese
bookmark will be present in Non-CJK system.

To the point - I strongly recommended you to move at new Acrobat 4 that
support CJK well (include CJK CID/OCF font embedding).
Although as I wrote Acrobat Distiller 3.02 US
English is good too.
