Ta Dina and Steve, I have been using J Acrobat with all fonts embedded as outlines, and the Japanese win95 version of 4.2.4. As I don't read Japanese, though, I might have missed a setting, so I am re-doing everything for about the 5th time. Next thing to try, I suppose, is to re-install everything (printers, drivers, PPDs) and then try using the English version of 4.2.4 :-( J > John Pitt, Technical Writer > Wilcom Pty Ltd > (02) 9578 5176 > mailto:jpitt@wilcom.com.au > or > mailto:johnpitt@zeta.org.au > > > -----Original Message----- > From: Dina Davidson [SMTP:DinaD@Xantrex.com] > Sent: Tuesday, April 20, 1999 8:32 AM > To: John Pitt; 'Framers - FrameMaker Discussion List'; > 'framers@omsys.com' > Subject: RE: Japanese PDFs > > In order to make searchable Japanese PDFs, you must embed the double-byte > fonts.
