Larry: ----quote ----- Since Frame tables must be anchored to a paragraph, Adobe suggests, in its Technical Solutions document # 318278, that one can reduce the space between the table and the top of the text frame. However, as Adobe also admits, this still leaves a 2pt space above the table in the first column. Does anyone have any ideas on how to eliminate that pesky space? ----unquote---- Create a TableAnchor para tag. Give it a small font size, say, 2pt, and interline spacing of, oh, say, 2 pt. Give it a space above of 0 pt and a space below of -2 pt (negative spacing). The top of the table is now aligned to the top of the text frame. It is now next to impossible to see or even find the anchoring para. But that's why you name it -- so you can use Find to look for the TableAnchor tag. Actually, anywhere you can put a number into a FrameMaker dialogue can also be a negative number with interesting results (which sometimes just consist of it bitching that it wants a postive number!).
