My client is doing it to run the files through book manager which, apparently, needs the graphics to be embedded. Since Book Manager is a deliverable, I am doing this to a copy of the original book. The links are broken in a copy, but not hurt for the future. Yes, lots of people have an anecdotal story about how they use graphics copied in all the time and they have no problem. One day your files are going to get trashed and then you, too, will be a little leery of copying. I also hate the pain in the **** updating graphics files when they change - and they always do. sharon Sharon Burton-Hardin President of the Inland Empire chapter of the STC www.iestc.org Anthrobytes Consulting Home of RoboNEWS(tm), the unofficial RoboHELP newsletter www.anthrobytes.com Check out www.WinHelp.net!
