pulling paragraph tags into doc info

I could have sworn that I'd heard about a way to do this, but I can't find
the info anywhere. I'd like to use pdfmark to automatically pull the chapter
title into the doc info that converts to PDF. Shlomo has a way to do this
using cross-references, but I could have sworn there was a way to do it
without that cross-reference. Am I dreaming?
