OK, this problem was directly caused by a suite of "PS[weight]MT" fonts installed into the system folder by Frame 7 installer. So much for a benign Frame 7 install. Removing them forced the TrueType versions to be used. Now, what is this sort of font file? I recognize the appellation as being something PC-centric since after opening PC-authored Word files into Frame I sometimes see reference to them (typically when Remember Missing Font Names is on). Presumably they're intended to promote cross-platform compatibility. So much for that, eh? Can someone lay out the relationship, actual and supposed, that these PSMT fonts have in a cross-platform environment? > Suddenly my bullet characters are print and pdf-ing as that odd capital Y > character (what's it called, anyway?). Why should this happen all of a sudden? > The only OS change was to install Frame 7; I'm still using v6 (Mac OS9.1) __________ Bart Windrum GUI Fit&Finish and Documentation Diogenes Inc. 410 17th St. #1260 Denver CO 80202 720 904 2321 x125 fax 720 904 9032 Bart.Windrum@DiogenesInc.com ** To unsubscribe, send a message to majordomo@omsys.com ** ** with "unsubscribe framers" (no quotes) in the body. **
