Frame 5.5.6 and 5.5.3 installtion problems

Hi..

I originally had Frame 5.5.6 (windows) installed on my machine but was given
a job to fix some files that caused version 5.5.3 (windows) to crash.  So I
unistalled 5.5.6, rebooted win2k, and installed 5.5.3.  However, when I go
to the Help >> About menu it states I've version 5.5.6.

What gives?  

Is there a proper way to install 5.5.3 over 5.5.6?  

Please advise asp.  Thanks so much :-)

P.S.  On a side note, I still think I have 5.5.6 installed even though I
uninstalled it and installed 5.5.3 because I open a file that should of
crashed with version 5.5.3 but it didn't crash on my machine.
