This is a real challenge. Our book TOC is a genererated TOC Our chapter TOC is to appear like a table with two columns ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- | Topic | See Page | |--------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------| | Installing the xxx module | 2-2 | |--------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------| | Connecting cables to the xxx module | 2-6 | |--------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------| | Removing the xxx | 2-8 | |--------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------| Right now we plan to insert x-refs to headings and page numbers in a table. Is it possible to make an auto-generated Chapter TOC look like a table? I have been thinking of a TOC paragraph format with lines above and below and graphics charaters in the numbering field of the paragraph designer. This idea won't work, however, as the book TOC is a normal TOC which is not in a table. Generating a Chapter TOC and by hand converting it to a table seems to difficult to handle.
