Allen, There is no known problem with any known combination of FrameMaker 6, Acrobat 5.0x, and Courier New. I will assume that you are running under some version of Windows, correct? When you see those little squares, they represent the "notdef" character, i.e., the character that displays or prints whenever you access a character position for which there is no character in the font itself. Some questions? (1) What font is actually being used in the resultant PDF file? (2) Are you embedding fonts? (3) What is the "order" of the directories that you have setup for the Distiller to search for fonts? (4) What version of Windows and what driver do you have installed? (5) What version of ATM do you have installed, if any? - Dov PS: Despite urban legend, there is no reason why you should have any problems with TrueType fonts. Well-produced TrueType fonts from reliable font foundries are just as reliable and as high quality as the equivalent Type 1 fonts, both for casual and professional usage! Works just fine in Frame 6, but when distilled with Acrobat 5.05 the spaces come out as little rectangles in the PDF. I didn't use to have this problem and I think it started when I went from 5 to 5.05. > >Ideas? >... >TIA > >Allen Schaaf ** To unsubscribe, send a message to majordomo@omsys.com ** ** with "unsubscribe framers" (no quotes) in the body. **
