Copy the formatting of the new paragraph tag to the clipboard with Esc e y
p.

In the Find/Change dialogue, set the Paragraph Tag you want to find and
change.

Set the Change method to By Pasting.

You can then change all the old para formats to the new one.

Or have I missed something.
