I remember trying, failing and requesting such an enhancement about 3 years ago. The concept of a para tag that has a straddle over one or more ajacent columns is veryy apealling. However, the real problem arises when you have a Para with a three column straddle that sits in columns 3 or 4 of a four-column layout. Should this Para then straddle onl 2 (or 1) column, or should it be forced to the next page? Regards, ....................................................
