Yes, I knew that already. I was just being inflammatory. And I think if
people say that an application supports XML they should mean that it
conforms to XML 1.0.

I'm sure that many of us here are in the same boat. I actually have lots
of sympathy for Adobe here - Lee has made some good points. But in the
end they are about prioritising available development resources as best
he can, hoping that he will be able to deliver the right facilities
before all the customers wander away.
