I am trying to launch a winhelp file from within FrameMaker but am not having much luck. I can create a dll that adds a menu item - Cognos Writers Help for instance, and when they click on that it launches the correct winhelp file but the problem is that FrameMaker remains frozen until the winhelp file is shut down as the dll is still running the show. Is there a way to launch an external program and then return the control back to the dll, have it finish and thereby allow the user to access both FrameMaker and the external program launched? This may be more of a C programming question so I will post it in a different list also but I was wondering if any Frame developers had any light to shine on this issue. Thank you for your help.
