Assuming that the printing is being done from Acrobat 3.0x and the "other" printers are NOT PostScript printers, you should apply the 3.01RA or 3.02 update to Exchange or Reader (fixes some printing problems with non-PostScript printers). Alternatively, you could attempt to print from Acrobat 4 or Acrobat 4 Reader. If the problem is occurring to NON-PostScript printers and you are already using Acrobat 4 or Acrobat 4 reader, the problem may very likely be outdated or defective printer drivers. See if the printer manufacturer has posted updates. (NOTE: Acrobat really effectively tests the kashrut of any print driver in terms of really obeying the GDI or QuickDraw specs!) Failing that, you can use the "print as image" as a last resort. If the problem is occurring on "PostScript" printers that do not use Adobe PostScript, there is a strong possibility that the printer isn't quite up-to-snuff in terms of its implementation of PostScript emulation. Check to see if the manufacturer has ROM updates with fixes (we have heard of these problems with both GCC and Lexmark printers with emulations of PostScript Level 2). Again, only as a last resort, you could try "print as image" from Acrobat 4. The above should cover 99.9% of the cases other than gross host computer misconfiguration. - Dov At 7/13/99 01:46 PM , Suzette Seveny wrote: >I think I'm missing something here, maybe one of you has encountered (and >solved) this problem. > >I created a PDF from a Frame document that looks and prints beautifully - on my >printer.
