Consistent print results on different printers

I think I'm missing something here, maybe one of you has encountered (and 
solved) this problem.

I created a PDF from a Frame document that looks and prints beautifully - on my 
printer.  On other printers, the kerning between spaces is screwing and the 
page numbers (one on black background) don't print.

Thinking this was a font embedding problem, I embedded all the fonts.  No 
difference.

What am I missing?
