Well.... it all depends upon what you mean by ... "term".

If a term is defined as a single word, then it is not too bad.  However, if
terms can be multiples words, then you have a problem.

If all terms could only be single words, my thought is to save a COPY of the
FM file in a plain text format.  Then, do a "find/replace" in whatever program
you like to change the spaces between words into hard returns.  Run that
result through a filter that will sort and "unique" the words, now each on its
own line.  On unix, the basic unix sort command will do it in a heartbeat. 
However, if you are on Windows or Mac, I am not familiar with the available
system commands.

Once sorted and uniqued, then I would import the list into a new FM doc and
start defining (sounds like a lot of work).

If you really get stuck on the sort/unique, you could email the the plain text
file to me and we can do it for (very modestly).
