Re: FSGML:formal public identifier is invalid?

Hi John,

This is an SGML problem with your customer's definition of their formal public
identifier. To have a valid Formal Public Identifier, the public text class
keyword which follows the owner identifier must be one of a range of keywords
indicating the type of declarations defined in the external entity. Thus if it
is a DTD, it should read "-//CONTRACTORNAME//DTD doclrumi 082997//EN". For
further information see C.F.Goldfarb "The SGML Handbook", p.386.

Regards,

Dave
