>>1. If Adobe really intends to produce a new FrameMaker release, it will be announced publicly before the conference occurs.<< This is my guess. As for... >>Thus there will be no need to pay $650 to hear about it.<< I wouldn't pay $650 to hear someone read a press release in any case. I presume the conference (which I tentatively plan to attend) will be *FAR* more substantive than that. Even if... >>2. FrameMaker has no future that can be substantively discussed at that conference,<< ...there will still be plenty for current FM users to talk about, including searching for tools to replace FM and/or dealing with the realities of continuing a workflow with "orphan" software. It seems to me that regardless of whether FM's future is bright or dim, it's still a subject of vital interest to those of us whose daily work life centers on this software. Note that I have no vested interest in promoting this conference... but as a prospective attendee, I *do* have an interest in encouraging my fellow Framers to be there to talk to. -Bill ** To unsubscribe, send a message to majordomo@xxxxxxxxx ** ** with "unsubscribe framers" (no quotes) in the body. **
