I agree with Thomas's comments. But also, why would Adobe make any such announcements at a conference which requires us to pay $650.00 to a training company? Makes no sense at all from Adobe's standpoint. So my guess is any such discussion of FrameMaker's future at that conference will be one of the following: 1. If Adobe really intends to produce a new FrameMaker release, it will be announced publicly before the conference occurs. Thus there will be no need to pay $650 to hear about it. OR 2. FrameMaker has no future that can be substantively discussed at that conference, and anyone who ponies up $650 mainly in the expectation of hearing anything significant about FrameMaker's future will feel that they've been scammed out of $650. --- Thomas Michanek <framers@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: > > Adobe Systems keynote presenters; Karl Matthews > (Group Product Manager, > > Publishing Technologies) and Michael Hu > (FrameMaker Product Manager) discuss > > the future of Adobe FrameMaker. > > Does this signify a sudden change in Adobe's > willingness to disclose > anything about upcoming releases, or is this > "discussion" on such an > overall and long-term level that nothing can be said > about future releases? > Will the participants be signing a non-disclosure > agreement? > > I just find it hard to see how they would discuss > what FM will be capable > of doing in the future without disclosing details > about upcoming features > and releases.
