Hi Brian You could try inserting non-breaking spaces between all the words after the place you want the entry to break. And I think someone had a plug-in that remembers your manual breaks in generated files - that might help. Cheers, Rebecca >>> "Brian Wesley Simmons" <bsimmons@xxxxxxxxxxx> 23/02/05 11:45:24 >>> Howdy, folks. We have a few index entries that are just too long to fit nicely (really long command names, or necessary See alsos) in the column. I hate "fixing" these entries manually in the generated file. Too often there is some last-minute change to the book, I have to re-gen the index, and then find and "fix" the entries all over again. Is there any way I can insert a soft return in the index marker itself? I've been trying with no success. thanks, bws ** To unsubscribe, send a message to majordomo@xxxxxxxxx ** ** with "unsubscribe framers" (no quotes) in the body. ** NOTICE: This message contains privileged and confidential information intended only for the use of the addressee named above.
