Thread-topic: search in book: 7.1 bug is worse than 7.0
On Monday, I searched for text in a file and forgot to check "document" instead of "book". I got the same crash error I've gotten before (yes, even after upgrading to 7.0p578, which I thought was supposed to fix this problem -- p578 just made it happen less frequently). Tired of getting that particular crash, I finally installed 7.1 (which has been on my desk, but uninstalled, for over a month). I just got the same blasted crash. Only this time, in addition to the "FrameMaker has experienced a serious error and must quit", I got one of these gems: The instruction at 0x00251469 referenced memory at 0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000000 .... Click OK to terminate the program. Now, the attempt to read the kernel is not something I remember from 7.0xyz... I'm not seeing any 7.1 patches on Adobe's site. I'm wondering if anyone is seeing this besides me... and if so, what did you do to make this go away? The dang thing is intermittent. thanks, Ananda K.
