Why would you upgrade from FM7.0 to FM7.1?

All:

My manager asked me to evaluate whether it is worth upgrading from
FrameMaker 7.0 to 7.1. I printed out the Adobe FrameMaker page and also
the PDF brochure. Being able to retain conditional text in XML is nice,
plus the ability to include cross-file cross-references. The ability to
always Save as XML is also good, leaving open the possibility of only
saving XML files in a version repository. The repository's branch and merge
capabilities would then allow parallel development, with the ability to
merge two or more branches back into a main line -- a definite benefit for
single-sourcing. The ability to import SVG is good, especially if the SVG
graphics can be included in XHTML, etc. output in native format, thus
preserving all the nice transparency, animation, etc.

I guess the biggies for us would be in round-tripping XML: (a) exporting
conditioned content to XML, editing in an XML editor, and re-importing
while preserving all conditioned content -- and any new conditioned content
added in the XML editor; (b) exporting cross-references to XML and
re-importing them with preserved formats and links. Can anyone confirm
from practical experience that this is the case?

Also, have there been any bug fixes?

Note: The following NEW capabilities are pretty irrelevant to us:

@ import filters for Quark and PageMaker
@ new fonts

So, if you know of any features or bug fixes new to 7.1 only, possibly not
documented on Adobe's site, please let me know.
