Thread-Topic: fmbatch post script print problem
Speaking of print settings NOT working in fmbatch, maybe somebody can help me with the following problem: Our books, even though they are have settings saved to print only certain files, are printing ALL the files in the book when printed using the fmbatch statement described below. We have many "diagnostic" files added after the official "end" of our books to track the existence (or lack thereof) of various things like unresolved xrefs, markers, text insets, etc. We'd prefer for our fmbatch generated PDFs to NOT include those files. As stated earlier, the book files contain settings that specify which files to include; these settings are being ignored. I'm hoping this is the result of some simple thing I have overlooked. (Manual print to PDF works fine, BTW, printing only the selected to be included files.) Here are the specifics: In fmbatch we do this: Print $docpath/$bookname $TOOLS_PATH/print2pdf.tpl where variables are supplied when the line is written into the fmbatch script. So we are essentially doing: Print file1.doc pdf_print_settings_file.doc where file1.doc is a book and print2pdf.tpl is a file with Generate Acrobat Data checked. One further note: We store our files as MIFs in RCS. We have found that checking Generate Acrobat Data is NOT retained in the MIF file. Every time a file is checked out from RCS, that setting is unset. That data is stored somewhere other than in the MIF. Thanks.
