A bit OT: Keyboard shortcuts not working properly in FM7

Has anyone had the problem of often-used keyboard shortcuts ceasing to 
work after a while? In fact it's getting worse and worse day by day. 
Other apps. (Netscape mailer, MS Word et al.) are unaffected.

Shortcuts failing include Ctrl-C, Ctrl-V, Ctrl-X, -S, -W, -D  - and now 
Ctrl-M (Paragraph Designer) has become a return. It's like having one 
arm tied behind my back. Quitting Frame and reopening it used to work 
for a while but now has little effect, and the same for rebooting. 
Sometimes it comes back correctly for a while, for no apparent reason.

Cross-platform shortcuts (Esc f c, Esc f s, etc.) function correctly.

All ideas gratefully received.
