Larry, For what it is worth, the “home computer use” feature of ALL Adobe end user license agreements (EULAs) have been modified to provide a similar feature for “portable computer use.” I am not a lawyer, but I believe the rational was that the home computer feature was generally perceived to be much more restrictive than the portable computer feature given today's usage by most professionals (especially those who travel both inside and outside of our organizations). If it came to a choice because we couldn't really allow both, then the portable computer use feature was probably the best choice for most (and admittedly not all) of our users. The current EULAs for Adobe software products have the following clause with reference to use on another computer: 2.4. Portable Computer Use. The primary user of the Computer on which the Software is installed may also make a second copy for his or her exclusive use on a portable Computer provided the Software on the portable Computer is not being used at the same time the Software on the primary computer is being used. - Dov At 1/29/2003 11:56 AM, Larry.Kollar@arrisi.com wrote: >> In general, FrameMaker 7 in all aspects has been tremendously stable >> and reliable compared to FrameMaker 6 and that includes installation >> and operation. > >Agreed, and I don't work for Adobe. :-) Frame 7 fixed several bugs >that I had to deal with in FM+SGML 6.
