Hi Thomas, That unavailable font page of your is lifesaver. Thank you. Yes, your reply does shed light on some possibilities. You asked good questions. We are using Frame 6, Acrobat 5, Windows2000. The print driver is the Adobe Universal 5.2 with the recommended adist4 PPD (version 1) from the Xtras folder. No ATM, just the Win2000 font manager. I was told that it eliminated the need for the basic ATM. None of us have it. A few other Framers responded about the printer fonts. Which sounded about right, since I was ignorant of this strange functionality. But I checked the Windows Fonts folder, and all the fonts that we use are listed therein. However, not all of the fonts are Type 1. My text fonts, Officina and Courier are Type 1. The Wingdings and Monotype Sorts are True Type. The Symbol font is listed as "Open Type, Digitally Signed, True Type Outlines". That's it. It does sound as though I need to double-check the settings for my staff. Of course, when I converted the department to Frame, I was very clear to them about print drivers and PPDs. I wrote procedures for installation, etc. I also supervised them while they deleted their existing fonts and installed the package from my machine. We do, however, switch back and forth between a T616PS3 print driver, provided by IS to run the Lexmark, and the Adobe driver, to print postscript to file. But those are suppose to be the identical drivers on all of our machines. I am looking into using an Adobe driver to run the Lexmark. Know anything about that? I will check which fonts are coming up unavailable. Do I check the Frame console? I don't believe the error message is explicit about which fonts are being substituted. Yes? Thanks a ton! -------Colin ** To unsubscribe, send a message to majordomo@omsys.com ** ** with "unsubscribe framers" (no quotes) in the body. **
