Chris, I'm guessing you're using FM6 or 7 (it helps to provide FM version number, platform/OS, and other basic information when you ask a question). At the bottom right of the book window, there are four small buttons. The left-most toggles the book window display between "heading text" and "filenames." The former shows the first paragraph in each book component, typically the chapter title -- you should recognize these. The latter shows the actual file name. If you want to change the chapter titles, you need to do it in the chapter files themselves, not in the book window. If you want to change the chapter file names, you must toggle the display to show the file names before you can edit them. HTH! Richard ------ Richard G.
