According to the book "Adobe products in QA", Russian edition, Moscow, 1998, the Cyrillic version of FrameMaker was promised in the spring of 1997 in Moscow during the meeting of Adobe Europe managers with Adobe Russian partners and Russian FrameMaker users. At that time Adobe licenseed Russian cross-platform hyphenation and speller modules from Proximity, Inc. and reserved their shared use in the InDesign, GoLive, Acrobat, PSH and probably Framemaker. Later all works and planes were stopped. Alas.
