There are a few problems (bugs) with formatting of the last paragraph
in a flow that contains the actual end-of-flow symbol. All text boxes
inside an anchored frame are separate flows and will contain such a
symbol. One of the problems is that change bars may get "stuck" at the
end-of-flow symbol. What you've done should work but doesn't.
You can try this:
1. Open the Character Designer and the Find dialog.
2. Place the cursor in a text boc and use the Find dialog to search for
Character Format. In the dialog that opens, press Shift+F8 to set
everything to As Is and then turn on the Change Bar box.
3. If FM detects a change bar in the text box, use the Character Designer
   to turn it off.

This may work sometimes. If it doesn't, and you really need to clear these
change bars without affecting the rest, you only have two choices:
a. Recreate the text boxes from scratch (with change bars turned off!)
b. Save to MIF, open the MIF file in a text editor, find the text strings for
the text boxes that have the problem, and delete the code that makes the
change bar appear. Obviously, this requires a little MIF knowledge.

That's not an underline, that's an actual character indicating the suppressed
hyphenation. You can select and delete this character like any other character
by using the arrow and Shift keys. Since this is a little tricky if you're
not used to it, it's easier to search for this character. Open the Find
dialog and enter "\_" as the search string. All of these special characters
and their codes are described in the FM manual.

A little side note: The above statement can be misinterpreted. A mailing list
like framers is for exchanging information and user experiences. It's OK to
request and receive private replies, but you should then always summarize to
the list or let the list know how you solved your problem. Being in digest
mode is in itself not a reason for off-list messages. Saying "Please also
respond to me directly" or adding "I'll summarize to the list" is a way to
recognize the benefit of sharing knowledge on the list.
