RE: Distiller Error

VM means virtual memory; your PC can't process the distiller job
because it's running out of memory.

How to fix it? I think this may fall into the category of "If your
head hurts when you bang it against a wall, don't do that."

Did you try distilling using the correct procedure, by printing
to a PS file and then invoking Distiller? And, to help your machine
along, closing other applications while you're distilling?

Subject: Distiller Error

When trying to save a FrameMaker book as a PDF (I know you are not
supposed to do this but...) I get the following error from Distiller:

%%[ PrinterError: Low Printer VM ]%%
%%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%
%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%

Can anyone tell me what this means and how to fix it?

Windows NT Workstation 4.0, FrameMaker 556, Distiller 3.0

Thanks

Sue
