You know the 80/20 rule - well in tech writing I think is more like 99/1 when it come to the software. 99% is accomplished with 1% of the potential functionality. Thomas's (and Martha's) suggestion worked fine. I just had never used that function in that way and it never dawned on me that a LOF COULDN'T be manipulated to do what I wanted. Now all done and it was a snap with a little help from my friends....
