I don't know of any way to make FM spit out a report that summarizes changes. But you can use the Compare Documents command to mark the differences between two docs. It uses the Added and Deleted conditional text. The command is in File > Utilities. There is also a Track Changes plug-in at http://www.intech.com/solutions/ that does the samae thing but adds a lot more flexibility. I need to update a guide that is approximately 40 pages long. What I want to do is track all my changes, page by page, paragraph by paragraph, and then have those changes documented precisely so that I can hand off an organized list of changes to the localization department. I'm envisioning something like this: Page 11, Paragraph 2: changed: "Click the Details button to learn more about the settings" to "Click the drop-down list to check the settings" Is there a way that I can do this in FrameMaker? If not, is there an add-on tool that I can get that will allow me to do so?
