I presume "normal restarts and rebuilds" included rebuilding the desktop? Recently, printer drivers have been giving me trouble (MacOS 8.6). Tossing printer preferences has cleared up a problem or two. Also, I found that when I disabled the AdobePS driver in favor of LW8, I also had to disable the Adobe Printing Library extension because I think it was conflicting with the LW8 library for some reason. So here's what I recommend (you can skip a step if you don't think it applies): - Delete all printer-related preferences. If that doesn't fix it... - Delete all your desktop printers. - Re-install printer driver & recreate desktop printers. Hope that helps. If not, did anything happen (big crash, new s/w install) in the previous week before the trouble began? -- Larry Kollar, Senior Technical Writer, ARRIS "Content creators are the engine that drives value in the information life cycle." -- Barry Schaeffer, on XML-Doc "Ronald E. Running Frame 6.0 on Mac G3 using OS9.1 - plenty of ram and oomph. Been doing this (on same machine for a couple of years. About a week ago, when selecting Page Setup, Frame quits. I have received errors messages of "type 11" and "type 2" but that's it. No consistency in the messages (sometimes 11 and sometimes 2). Does this with different files and books. All other programs work fine. Tried with different printers selected. These files were then "tested" on two other computers - they worked just fine. After the normal restarts and rebuilds, here's what I've done (in order)... --Tossed Frame prefs - tried again, no help --Scanned computer with Norton SystemWorks (latest version) - everything fixed --Scanned with Norton Virus - no problems --Trashed every Frame application-related file in computer (via Sherlock search). Emptied trash. --Reloaded Frame from CD --Rebuilt Exact same problem occurred with the first file I tried! Stumped. Help. GIANT THANKS! Ron Jones ___________________________________ Dr. Ronald E.
