FM on Linux (some news)

Hi All,

The question of FrameMaker on LINUX came up not to long ago. As I recall (my
brain is getting weak from too much radiation from this monitor) there was no
"postive" satisfactory news.

I just noted the below on the comp.text.frame newsgroup:

START =====================================================

Subject: Problem with 16-bit X server in Linux
Date:  Fri, 11 Dec 1998 21:14:29 +0800
From:  David Yeung <dyeung@ust.hk>
Newsgroups: comp.text.frame

I run Framemaker (v5.0) on a remote SGI machine and set the DISPLAY in Linux
(Intel PC).
The Framemaker gets segmentation fault (core dump) when the X server is set to
16-bit color, but it works fine if the X server is switched to 8-bit color.

Anyone has solution on it? Thanks

david
