This answer will be helpful to me, as well. Our engineering manager is trying to decide what version of Reader we need with our next product release in June. We stayed at Acrobat 5 because of the index incompatibility but now I want a good business case for moving the information design and development team to Acrobat 7 because of all the cool features I've read about. Is there any hope that these indexes will be compatible with Acrobat 7's search functionality? (Something tells me that the news will not be good.)
