fmerror@adobe.com, fmhelp@adobe.com

There's been some confusion both inside and outside Adobe re these two email addresses. Per recent changes-

fmerror: if FrameMaker crashes, which usually means it hit an internal assert that it shouldn't have, an alert comes up requesting that you send the resulting crashlog file to the fmerror@adobe.com address. The crashlog info is then used by FM Engr to track asserts and determine areas in the product having problems. Several bugs were fixed in previous releases based on tracking crashlogs.

This address is owned by FM Engr, and is not directly responded to. We recently reinstated an auto-reply message on this address, to confirm that an email and crashlog was received.

fmhelp: this address was previously used by customers with a particular support and maintenance plan, but was replaced with a direct telephone support number last year. if you're on a CustomerFirst-based support plan, please use the contact information supplied as part of your plan, or refer to the main support page at http://www.adobe.com/support/main.html

This address also just had an auto-reply message reinstated, but is otherwise not tracked at all.
