You'll need to define two header footer variables for this purpose--one for right-hand pages, the other for left-hand pages: 1. Variable definition for left-hand pages: $elemtext[elemtag] 2. Variable definition for right-hand pages: $elemtext[+,elemtag] Where: elemtag is replaced by the name of the element containing the lemma. the +, notation in the variable for the right-hand pages specifies the last elemtag on the page (the absence of this notation in the variable for the left-hand pages causes the the first elemtag on the page to be used) At 11:53 AM 8/27/99 +0200, MITZ wrote: >Hello Framers, > >I'm trying to make a dictionary with Framemaker+SGML. >Does anybody know how I can fill a running header with the first lemma of >the left pages and the last lemma of the right pages, so I can put them in >the headline? ==================== | Nullius in Verba | ==================== Dan Emory, Dan Emory & Associates FrameMaker/FrameMaker+SGML Document Design & Database Publishing Voice/Fax: 949-722-8971 E-Mail: danemory@primenet.com 10044 Adams Ave. #208, Huntington Beach, CA 92646 ---Subscribe to the "Free Framers" list by sending a message to majordomo@omsys.com with "subscribe framers" (no quotes) in the body. ** To unsubscribe, send a message to majordomo@omsys.com ** ** with "unsubscribe framers" (no quotes) in the body. **
