Color "Don't Print" not working from Reference page

Hi,

FM 556, Win95

As advised by a dozen list members, I am using a "frame above" to control text
height from the top of the page for a certain tagname. (Make a named, empty
frame on the reference page and use it for that tagname with Frame Above.)

However, I already ran into one person asking "what is forcing this paragraph
down the page" -- since you cannot see the reference page frame when viewing
the body page.

So... I got the bright idea of (on the reference page) drawing a text frame in
the frame and putting some explanation text in it. I made a new color for
that text and defined the color as "Don't Print". I tagged the text with a
new tagname, using that color. I made the color colored so that I was sure
that it was really properly set up.

Everything works fine except that this text INSISTS on printing. No matter
what I do, I can't get it to not print. The printer knows that the text is
colored -- it prints it in gray because my coloring is light. However, the
printer doesn't understand that it is not supposed to print it at all.

What am I missing, or is something broken?

Unfortunately, I did not think of trying to print the reference page directly
(to see if it properly did not print the text). I have reverted everything,
and I am too annoyed at this moment to recreated it to test this.

Also, I have only the one printer available to me at this moment to test
printing.
