We use the Comic Sans MS font on our document covers for both the Product Name/Version and the Document Title. This afternoon, I built our new cover with its full page underlaying (TIF) graphic in FM. Marketing supplied the graphic. I can not change it. It looks good in FM, but in MSWierd, not so. Because the Doc group persons prefer to use MSWierd, and we in Trng Dev use FM, and because all of our documentation materials are converted to and distributed via PDF format, I took the new cover with its full page graphic and converted it to PDF. I used the word "Title" where the appropriate title of the document is to be placed. So when all of the materials for the next release/doc library are PDF'd, all we would have to do is replace the old cover page in the PDF file with the new cover page via Acrobat Exchange. Then using the Text tool, replace the word "Title' with the actual doc title. One problem, in a trial run of this process I received an error. When I opened the one page PDF in Acrobat Exchange, and tried to change the text, It said that the Font is embedded in the file but not installed on my system. So I could not edit the text. If it's not installed on my system, then how did it get in there in the first place (rhetorical). Win95, FM 5.6, Exchange 3.01, Distiller 3.02, etc. all the latest upgrades. Suggestions? If I can NOT get this to work, I'll have to figure a way to get the identical cover w/graphic in MSWierd. ** To unsubscribe, send a message to majordomo@omsys.com ** ** with "unsubscribe framers" (no quotes) in the body. **
