Re: Cross-reference to a different flow (in the same document)?

In my previous post on this thread, I stated:
======================================================================
This is the sort of thing that could be automated if you created each
section in a separate file, and set up the current page variable in each
file to contain the section number prefix as well as the page number. In
that case, the book file could be set up to produce the correct page number
prefix for each section when generating indexes, TOCS, and other types of lists.
==================================================================
I omitted the fact that the solution described above also solves the problem
of including the section number prefix in the page cross-references.
Assuming that the paragraph tag for the section title has an autonumber, the
cross-reference format for a page number cross-reference would be set up as
follows:

        page <$paranumonly[paratag]>-<$pagenum>

Where [paratag] is replaced by the name of the paragraph tag used for the
section title. Since this tag is antecedant to all other paragraphs in the
section, the correct section number will be prefixed to the page number in
all cross-references to paragraphs within each section.
