Stephen,

Try using a program such as Corel Photo-Paint (or Adobe Photoshop) to SAVE AS
the image file to an .eps file.  Import that into your FM file and try the
same processes to PDF.  I bet that you won't have the problems.

In my experience, every different app has its own way of 'printing' .tif files
whereas they don't "mess" with .eps files.

(Images don't have to be "vector" to use the .eps file format.)
