Not at all.  They share the purpose of providing a forum for
mutual aid for FrameMaker users, but have very different
policies and operating methods otherwise.

Probably half the posts on omsys.com are also cross-posted to
frameusers.com.  A smaller percentage of frameusers.com posts
are cross-posted the other way.  If you really want it all, 
you need to read both lists, no way around it.  I do.

I'd prefer not to go into the reasons for forming Free Framers,
but will observe that IMHO they are still quite valid.  I do
*not* want this to be a topic of discussion again, as that
would be a distraction from the purpose of mutual assistance
for which this list was created.  But I am only one voice, and
make no rules as to content of posts (beyond the standard rules
of Netiquette, such as "no personal attacks", which I enforce
on omsys.com on rare occasions by jawboning ;-)...

Many are subscribed to both, but many are not.  It's hard to
tell because frameusers.com treats its list as a trade secret,
so nobody can compare.  We make ours available to any list
member, in accordance with Net rules for public lists; we
restrict to members only for the purpose of denying access
to spammers.
