Uh, how is it that you don't have access to the source files, but you have to change them??? There are no-cross book tools for Frame (unless someone has written an API in the last few weeks). Chris is right. Use a variable, and update it and import it as needed. Right now it's the only option you have, unless you happen to be working on a Mac, in which case there are other options. You could get me to script a solution for you, but it will cost you. - web >Your suggestion would work if I had access to the source files, however, I >don't. > > >All I need is a simple search and replace across the book level...so that I >don't have to search and replace for the same text for individual chapters >(across 30 documents.) > > > > > >Tracy Morrow <TMorrow@lgc.com> on 02/24/99 01:46:01 PM > >To: Christopher O Lollini/Cleveland/RA/Rockwell >cc: >Subject: RE: I need to Find/Change across a book > > > > >Well, given the fact you'll have to do this more than once, I have two >suggestions (although I'm sure you're get a plethora from the list): > >You could create a variable and change the variable value when you need to >change the text.
