Mark, It's not totally possible, as the digest reports others have told you, but there are some workarounds. When I'm importing a lot of graphics, I've noted that Frame remembers the anchored frame format from the last frame you placed, and repeats the same settings from frame to frame (adjusting to the last changes you make each time) until you quit the application. (Mac platform, Frame 5.5. Your mileage may vary.) So, if you're going to place a bunch of frames and want them all to have the same settings, you can insert one, carefully set it the way you want, and all the ensuing frames in that session have the properties. This behavior doesn't help database publishers because Frame forgets all that tweaking when you shut it down, but if you plan your work, you can save a lot of time per day by doing gang-import sessions. An alternative method I've used when I had to build a doc that consisted of hundreds of pages of Visio-exported EPS files placed into a Frame template for publication, was to create the frame just the way I wanted it, then copy and paste a zillion of them (well, 122) into the needed Frame files across the book; this way each was identical. Then as I worked through the process of importing each into its frame, FrameMaker automatically centered and selected them, and I used shortcuts to do the required scaling (which I'd also tested on one copy and noted for consistency). Good luck! When I import a graphic file, Frame automatically inserts it into an anchored frame positioned Below Current Line. I'd like Frame to automatically position the frame At Insertion Point. ** To unsubscribe, send a message to majordomo@omsys.com ** ** with "unsubscribe framers" (no quotes) in the body. **
