Re: Numbering errors when generating books



This is a very basic question, but you didn't mention it in your
description, so:

You are updating each book by clicking the Update icon in the book file 
(or the Edit menu) each time you build the book, aren't you? And when you
do that, the Update Numbering checkbox is activated?

Also, if you're working with multiple books containing the shared files at the
same time... don't -- the changes or updates you make in one will affect
the second, and vise versa. If you're going to use shared files, build one
book all the way to completion before working in the second and modifying
the settings of the shared file(s).
