Peter, Thank you for your feedback. The files are created on our local drives and then copied over to the network directory. We are able to open other PDFs created and put there in the same manner. This seems to happen sporadically to files that we were previously able to open. I even tried to copy one of them back to my hard drive but still was denied permission. It's more likely they are network or operating-system settings that are getting confused. If they were Acrobat security settings, a password dialog box would appear.
