Hello I'm new to this mailing list, so please forgive me if I break some unwritten ruels of behaviour etc :-) Michanek wrote: >If you try to use a file URL for a file >located on a local file system ("file://..."), you will get >invalid or unreliable results, due to the way IE is integrated >into the Windows operating system... Is this still a problem with IE6 and Acrobat 7 (on Windows XP)? I have a number of links from an html page to different locations in a pdf file (generated from a FM book). All links work fine, the pdf file opens at the correct destination in a new IE window. But only the first time you click on a link. When you click on a second link, the target IE window becomes blank. Click again and the pdf opens nicely -- but in a second IE window. The first one is still blank. Can anyone confirm this behaviour or, even better, suggest a solution or work around?
