It's not necessary to keep it all, but it certainly is more in line
with what readers expect (it is a thesis).  Since I am trying to beat
a thesis deadline, I think I will use the TOC rather than experimenting
with new automatically generated lists at this point.  I was just
wondering if the unorthodox-ness will boomerang back and bite me
where it hurts as I'm trying to put the finishing touches on.  From
the sounds of it, seems like it should not be cause for concern.
