RE: Generating inactive Cross references

I think the only way to do this is to disable 'generate acrobat data' when you print to the distiller. But that prevents all bookmarks from being generated.

I'm not sure what your mean by "I use cross-references to designate words," but it sounds like you're using x-ref for something other than its designed purpose. In which case you may very well experience unitended consequences.

Subject: Generating inactive Cross references

Does somebody know how to generate cross-references in PDF format that would
not be active hypertext links ?
I use cross-references to designate words but do not want these one to
behaviour as active hypertext links.

Thanks
Vincent
