Framers, I am working with a book having this hierarchy: Chapter, Section (not in all chapters), Topic Main Head, Topic Subhead. One complex chapter has multiple sections, each in its own file. What is the best way to generate a chapter TOC containing Section, Topic Main Head, and Topic Subhead without the Topic Main Heads and Topic Subheads for this chapter showing up in the main TOC? 1) Create special versions of Topic Main Head and Topic Subhead tags so a single generation of the book can generate both Main and Chapter TOCs 2) Insert markers in the multi-file section's Topic Main Heads and Topic Subheads and generate a List of Markers for the chapter TOC 3) Create a "secondary book" containing only the multi-file section's files, generating a TOC for the secondary book, then adding that file to the main book file. 4) Others? How would you prioritize a solution that balances ease of authoring, simplicity of template, and minimal complication of migration to HTML? Thanks and regards. David L.
